The 34th matriculation ceremony of IMT
new students 2015/2016 has come to pass
and the memory still lingers in the mind of
many.
The ceremony which took place on 17th of
February, 2016 at the J.T Useni handball
court was a remarkable one and was graced
by many.

stated that IMT is student-friendly. In his
address, IMT is now a rebranded and
reformed citadel of learning where the
plights of staff and students are paramount.
He added that the institute has preserved in
her efforts to renew and rebrand IMT along
sound erhical, moral, academic and
infrastructural principles.
Talking about the achievements of the
school authority over the years, he stated
that the institute is now wearing a new look
-new massive classroom structures for
various schools unlike before. The institute
has also built a relaxatiin centre coined
“Love Garden” by students where students
can relax comfortably in-between lectures
and in the evenings.
In addition to that, the school has
commisioned the new central library and
also converted the old library to a reading
room that operates on a 24-hour basis. The
management has also established an intra-
campus Bus/Keke shuttle wholly managed
by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) to
facilitate easy and affordable transportation
within the school. The institute has also
promised automatic employment and
scholarship for students who graduated with
First Class Honours/Distinction.
The Rector also bewailed the hike of the
rate at which students have Carry-Over in
some courses and promised that the CBT
centre which is still under construction will
bring an end to that. He stated that
students who have carry-over in any course
(s) have the chance to re-write the exam in
a maximum of three sittings at any time of
their choice.
He also reiterated the degree-awarding
status being conferred to the school by the
present governor of the state Rt. Hon.
Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and thanked him as well.
The matriculation ceremony ended
peacefully with lots of jubilation by the
matriculants and their parent/guardian.
