nd1 new heaven transmission 2015 excursion

This years excursion of our noble department was one of the eventful one,where two locations where visited by different levels.

On june 16 ,the maryjoe led executives organized an educative excursion for the nd1 students, to learn how electricity transmission section works

 We were, warmly welcomed by their engineers, they include engr ILOMMA who covered  the section of CONTROL PC AND M, engr ENEH MAXWELL who covered the control section,finally engr NDUBUISI covered the LINE SECTION


LESSONS LEARNT FROM THE ENGINEERS
According to the above named engineers,transmission company is divided into 3 main parts
1.LINE SECTION
2.CONTROL PC AND M
3.ELECTRICAL SECTION

                                                LINE SECTION 

This section was handled by engr ndubuisi of transmission company of nigeria new heaven section enugu
according to him 330kv supply of double circuit of 350mm by 2 conductor, is being received from onitsha.
which will be stepped down to 132kv with the aid of the transformer. The 132kv is then distributed to benue,ebonyi ,orji river e.t.c . Then the substations in enugu receives 33kv or 11kv depending on the size of the substation.
He mention different types of line equipments. they include 
transmission line damper, arching horn, skywire, counter poise, steel enforced aluminium e.t.c
