The game was exciting, and competition was tight. From the onset, the able bodied men in both teams made the match a very physical one.

The players from both teams participated actively, and a few others stood out, like the ND2 line up.  Their back line was considerably solid all through the game, and Nelson Asika the right back was especially active.
He stopped several of the opposition attacks, and sometimes laid the ball out to start up a quick counter attack.


Chizoba was also a constant threat to the opposition team, and was closely marked aggressively by the opposition. Ikenna and few of the other players also played a solid game.

The first half of the game was fairly entertaining, and some real chances were made which weren’t converted into goals by  both teams.
The second half of the game was a very eventful one though, both teams had several chances and in the 54th minute the ND1 team had a free kick from outside the box which hit the right post.
Just moments after a counter attack by the ND2 team was led by Chime who then laid a pass to the second half substitute Chinedu, and he fired a thunderous shot which was stopped by the opposition keeper.

This keeper was barely troubled in the first half, but that wasn't the case here because just moments later, his defence was put to test again by a  very fine combination play created, and fired just inches over the cross bar by the substitute Abuchi , less than 15 minutes from game time.

A well-played counter attack,  coupled with perfectly timed passes, left the targeted opposition player unmarked which gave him time and space to hit the ball past the goal keeper who was helpless at the time.
The opposition team held on to their lead until game time was over, and  it ended as 0:1, with the opposition emerging as the victors of the day.

It was a good friendly match,  and both teams tiredly cheered each other after the match, having played under the scorching heat from the sun.
