MATCH REPORT

THE 2015  seees friendly tournament kicked off with a populated field.THE students came out en mass to play and support the players. At exacly 10:30 the tournament started with the two national diplomas (nd 1 and 2), playing against each other to determine the team to qualify for the final stage. THis tournament has a trophy to be won by the best played team,
ND1 and ND2 battled it out with goalless at first half. THE deadlock was broken when a true pass was given to the newly introduced nd1 attacker, who perfectly slotted the ball to the far net. Prior to the goal , so many chances was created by this two teams but to no avail.

HND 2 vs HND1 presented another encounter that featured hidden stars. patrick the alambert officiated this encounter. hnd 1 featured alot of stars that dominated the midfield. Towards the end of the first half,hnd 1 played a tricky free kick that made the hnd 2 goal keeper pushed away from the ball, thus allowing a header from hnd1 to head the ball to an empty net.

The game ended one nil in favour of hnd1 at first half. Before this time  nnaemeka of hnd 1 was not performing as was expected from him. TOwards the end of the second half odo joseph gave him a slicky pass which he gently displaced a hnd1 player to fire a hot shot from the center of the field,to the post of hnd 1. the game ended 1-1 at the end of first half
extra time was played to no avail. the game was decided with a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2 in the favour of hnd2

Next match will feature hnd 2 and nd1 as the finalist while hnd1 will play nd2 on thurs 25 june 2015
